August 24 was memorialized in color as Christ Embassy Calabar Ministry Center, South-South Nigeria, plunged 1,218 soldiers into the Lord’s Army at her Foundation School Graduation Ceremony. The graduates had completed the course, satisfying requirements to become products of the Foundation School of Christ Embassy.
The ceremony, attended by Pastors, members of the Deaconry, principal officers and staff of the Foundation School, as well as family, friends and guests of the graduating students, was officiated by the esteemed Director, Pastor Vale Odu-Thomas, and Pastor Awele Odu-thomas.
In a hymnal procession, singing "when the roll is called up yonder," the graduating students marched into the auditorium, resplendent in regal graduation robes and welcomed with a standing ovation from members of the congregation. Several activities characterized the ceremony, including a talk show session featuring some outstanding graduating students, who testified to the holistic impact of the school.
The esteemed Pastor Vale Odu-Thomas, in his charge to the graduates, emphasized the value of what they have received, going through the Foundation School. He took the students through several points relevant to the effective discharge of their duties; "the word is the foundation that we have given to you; now, the responsibility is yours to build on this foundation. Don't let the devil or circumstances take away what has been given to you,” he admonished the graduating students. Expounding further, he said, "now that you have been commissioned as a soldier in the Lord’s Army, you have become the answer to the cry of many around the world.”
The students were imparted with grace to impact their world with the Gospel, as the esteemed Ministry Center Director, Pastor Vale Odu-thomas, prayed for them, sending them into their world with powerful prophetic words. Awards were handed to students who distinguished themselves with excellence. Truly, they are going to shake their world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
