Inner City Mission School Treats Pupils to an All-Expense Paid Excursion

Pupils of the Inner City Mission School of Christ Embassy enjoy all-expense paid trip to the Lekki Conservation Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Inner City Mission of Christ Embassy is an arm of the ministry that provides free food, shelter, healthcare and education for the deprived children of several inner cities in Nigeria and many other nations. These children, most of who were born into poverty and neglect, have their lives turned around as they receive nurture and provision from partners with the Inner City Mission.

A short while ago, the ritz was on for kids of the Inner City Mission Nursery and Primary School as they were treated to an all-expense paid trip to the Lekki Conservation Center – one of the foremost tourist sites in Lagos, Nigeria. The center is a 78-hectare-land area that houses wildlife peculiar to the Southwest coastal area of Nigeria to preserve them from increasing urbanization.

A walk along the nature trail boardwalk allowed the children to see and learn about the aquatic and terrestrial animals on display at the reserve. A special highlight of the occasion was the opportunity to climb the 25m-high treehouse that gives a bird’s eye view of the entire reserve. The children also participated in fun activities and even got to interact with some of the animals.

It truly was an exciting and educative experience for all the children. For the children, who had hitherto known a life of consistent lack, it was a time of their lives. Swipe through the picture gallery below to see many exciting pictures from the children's trip.
