One of Nigeria’s foremost banking institutions, Parallex Microfinance Bank, opened a branch in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, yesterday, August 5, 2014. Group Pastors from across Christ Embassy Benin Zone, senior members of the deaconry, distinguished government functionaries, leaders of businesses and captains of industries were all in attendance at this auspicious event.
In her welcome address, the Chief Host and Zonal Pastor of Christ Embassy Benin Zone, Pastor Mary Owase, thanked the BLW President, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD, for providing Benin City with such a platform. Pastor Mary Owase, in her address, said:
“[This] is an opportunity to upgrade the lives of people and that is what our ministry is known for; we give people’s lives a meaning, and this is another avenue given to us by the spirit of God to actualize the vision as delivered to us by our man of God, Pastor Chris.”
The MD/CEO of Parallex Microfinance Bank and Zonal Pastor of Christ Embassy Lagos Zone 3, Pastor Femi Otenigbagbe, in his opening speech said:
“Today, history is being enacted as the royal city of Benin has come to witness the incursion of a bank born out of God’s vision… The success story of Parallex Microfinance Bank from its sure-footed start off in Lagos has now been brought to Benin.”
The climax of the event was the cutting of the tape, amidst words of prophecy, by Pastor Mary Owase, who was assisted by the MD/CEO, Pastor Femi Otenigbagbe and other distinguished guests present.
