Christ Embassy Southern Africa recently planted two new churches, one on the Island of Reunion and the other in Madagascar. Reunion Island is a territory of France with a population of 840,000 people, lying to the southeast of the coast of Madagascar. Madagascar is located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of southeast Africa, boasting a population of over 22 million people.
The Southern Africa Regional Pastor, Pastor Ose Oyakhilome, sent the missionary team to Reunion Island on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. During the exploratory week that followed, the team was able to secure a venue for Christ Embassy Reunion Island, scheduled to officially open on September 1, 2014.
In a similar testimony of faith at work, Christ Embassy Madagascar officially commenced her first service on Sunday, July 27, 2014. The service was attended by 73 first-timers who had never been to a Christ Embassy Church before, out of which 6 gave their hearts to Christ for the first time.
In addition to securing a venue in recent months, the team prepared for the work in Madagascar by sending copies of the Messenger Angel, Rhapsody of Realities, to the country consistently since September 2013. The team also took advantage of radio airtime with Rhapsody of Realities on popular stations in the capital city of Antananarivo.
