A special event, tagged ‘Jesus and Me’ held in the principal halls of the two largest Universities in the nation of Kenya; University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University will never be the same again. The event was an outstanding success with over 2,300 young people in attendance at both Universities.
The brethren prepared passionately for the program, holding projector shows, rallies, pouring in all of themselves to help make it the remarkable success it turned out to be. ‘Jesus and Me’ achieved these major things in the hearts of the youths of Kenya: first, it helped build an evangelical workforce of bold youths, challenging shy young Christians to stand up for Jesus; second, it demonstrated the power of the Spirit in all its potency, healing and saving many.
It was truly a harvest of souls and healing testimonies as many were connected with their divine destiny. The young people of Kenya will never be the same again; one of them had the following to say:
“To me, JAM was not just a one-day experience; it encompassed the hours, the days and the weeks leading up to it. From the all-night prayer meetings, to the fun invitations, to the special evangelism experiences, it was all so surreal.
All this while, one thought stood out, that I had the privilege to let others in on this intimate meeting with Jesus. This fueled the passion in me. Then, the day finally came, and my eyes were flooded with light as I saw Jesus clearer. I got a knowing of Him that was not there before. I saw how special I am to Him and how special He is to me. In that moment I realized that every man was designed to fall in love with Jesus. I have set out to reveal Jesus to all those in my world.”
