During the Presidential Staff Awards 2018, the man of God, Pastor Chris, was led by the Spirit of God to call up the ‘Kids Can Dance’ team to ask what they wanted for Christmas. With this blank cheque, all the children could see was an opportunity to bless disadvantaged children through a ’Send Portions’ campaign.
The man of God, founder of the InnerCity Mission for Children, granted the request, announcing that everything required for the campaign would be supplied. On December 28th, indigent children of Kosofe community and their families were beneficiaries of a special Send Portions campaign from children of the InnerCity Mission Home.
During the Christmas event, there was so much prepared for each child present. Award-winning Gospel artiste, Testimony Jaga, ministered to the children with his unique music and his life’s testimony of God's grace. Santa Eli-J was present to deliver gifts, and the esteemed Director of the InnerCity Mission for Children, Pastor Omoh Alabi, led several of the children to Christ. There was more than enough of food, drinks, gifts and free medical care for every child.
The Kosofe community is very peculiar as most of the residents live on dump sites in make-shift houses, poor and low income families having barely enough to cater for their children. With such deplorable living conditions, the families would barely have had a yuletide celebration, but it changed this past Christmas.
